Siege of the Medici villa or the “Assedio alla Villa” recalls an event of the XVI century. When the princess Giovanna of Austria visited the Villa, it was ordered that wine be given free to the inhabitants of Poggio in front of the gates of the Villa. During the september festival the free distribution of wine is accompanied by various culinary and cultural events.
