The tower is part of the old town walls, some of which are still standing, and was built at the beginning of the 1300s to protect the inhabitants of Figline Valdarno. The town lies at the centre of the triangle linking Florence (30 kms), Arezzo (50 kms), Siena (50 kms), all of which can easily be reached both by car or by train. The old town centre is pleasant and full of history, and there you will find may shops and supermarkets, along with excellent restaurants and wine shops. Just 15 minutes away are some of the most important outlets in Italy (Gucci, Armani, Prada, Valentino). The best way to go to Florence is by train, and trains stop here on the way to Florence every hour, and in 20 minutes you are in the centre of Florence, thus avoiding the traffic and the difficulty of finding a parking space. Torre degli Uberti has been completely renovated, retaining however all of its original architectural features, and has antique furnishings along with carefully chosen materials and accessories, all of which gives it a special and rare atmosphere. The house is equipped with washing-machine and dishwasher, and it is easy to find a parking space nearby.
