The villa lies in the hills west of the town of Prato, in a country area with typically tuscan vegetation, and centuries-old olive groves as far as the eye can see. The property started life as a convent, and was later converted into an elegant country residence. In the large grounds around the house guests have the use of a private swimming-pool (6×12 m), and of shady relaxation areas and a large terrace furnished for dining outside. The furnishings consist of very good quality antique furniture with well thought-out finishing touches: curtains, ornaments and pictures make it a particularly welcoming environment. You can arrange to hire personnel to prepare meals for you at an extra cost to be paid on the premises. The villa is also equipped with: satellite-TV, dishwasher, washing-machine, video-recorder, stereo with CD-player, barbecue. Its geographical position makes it an ideal base for a visits to Florence (18 kms), Lucca (55 kms), the beaches in Versilia (80 kms) and to the Chianti Classico area (50 kms). The are several restaurants in the area offering excellent tuscan cuisine. The two owners live in the other wing of the villa with an independent entrance and their own garden, and you will find their presence extremely discreet, although they can give you excellent advice, should it be needed. The annex is in a rural building in front of the main entrance to the villa, next to the parking area reserved for guests. If the villa is occupied by 22 people all of the villa and all of the grounds are at their disposal. Together with the villa there is also the possibility of booking an independent apartment available for 2 people with bedroom, living-room, bathroom and private terrace: it lies 50 metres from the villa and is completely separate.
